A redesigned art exhibit
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In this project, we were asked to find a local art exhibit and take photos of the location. After seeing and researching the exhibit, we built a new design system to create deliverables to promote the event.
PROJECT CONCEPT/DESIGN GOALS
When designing the visual system for this exhibit, I focused on the artists and the artists’ content. The art was focused around nature, hence the name, so I decided to implement a soft and light color scheme, choosing one color per artist. I chose lines and dots as a visual element to indicate how all of the artists are connected and focusing on the same subject.
The title for the exhibit was made to match the feeling of nature, with organic-like strokes and contrast between slab serif and serif.
The exhibit booklet focused on the artists’ works and their previous exhibits.
The app acts as a guide through the exhibit, giving information on the artists, on site work, and the exhibit itself.
